Feel the need

April 28, 2006

So I’m feeling the need to blog. But I haven’t got the faintest idea what to blog about. So here comes a bunch o’ random stuff:

  • Heading up to Seattle tomorrow to visit the Hallbergs. Very, very excited to see them.
  • Heard, and learned, about a zonkey today. What will they think of next?
  • Been learning much lately in my New Testament Theology class. Will have to be a major post some other time, but suffice it to say I am completely convinced that Christ came to do what Adam, Noah, Abraham and Israel didn’t. In fact, Christ’s life recorded in the Gospels mirrors various aspects of their lives so much, it’s amazing that with as many professors as I’ve learned from, this hasn’t come up before.
  • In a similar vein, great post on Abraham and Isaac over at the Kingsley Clan blog. Notice the double use of Abraham’s name and then his response of “Here I am.” Learned recently that those are big big things in the Bible. Told you, interesting stuff.
  • Enjoying work. It’s a good kind of difficult. I love learning like this. Whole industry I know nothing about. Kinda nice to have a clean slate and fill it up, ya know?
  • Pregnancy = not so fun some times.
  • Had our appointment with WIC today. Score for free food we buy anyway. Thanks to the presence of Little One, we qualify. Qualifies us for WIC and we’ll get another huge tax credit this year… this kid is a finanical genius. Kudos to the Brew Crew for the heads up.

Time for sleep. Well, time to go upstairs, feign reading and eventually convince myself to put the school book down so I can sleep for real. Good book though. Great capsulation of the theology of Paul. Man, I’m really enjoying this class.Peace out.
