Halo getting turned into a RTS by the people that made Age of Empires? Another reason I should get a Xbox360.

“Halo Wars”:http://www.halowars.com/index.html

Best question and answer of the FAQ:

Q: Why is “Halo” being made into an RTS game?
A: Warthogs are cool. Scorpions are cool. Controlling lots of Warthogs and Scorpions and sending them into battle is really, really cool.

Also, when halo was first conceived it was being developed as an RTS. Bungie’s greatest success up to that point had been with Myth II so they figured they would go with what they knew. As it progressed they moved to a third person (over the shoulder) perspective and then, ultimately, to the FPS we know and love. No, it isn’t bungie that is building the halo wars game, but it is something that halo fans have been curious about seeing for some time.

And yeah. Controlling lots of Warthogs tickles me in my fancy place.

You should probably know about this:
    Next Halo game

I appologize for the ads and lame forum commentary, but the story’s interesting.

The part about him working on the next halo game isn’t right I don’t think. He has announced that he created a new company, Wingnut Interactive, to build some new kind of Halo thing that isn’t a movie and isn’t a game but has qualities of both.

    Speculation is rampant.
