2 Daughters

December 6, 2006

Lessons learned from the first full day at home with a 17+ month old and a 3 day old.

* Gas, thou hast met thy match. Ellie hath vanquished thee and usest thee at her bidding.

* Both of my daughters make the same face when they’re pooping.

* Size has nothing to do with the amount of sound a person can produce.

* Already the time balance issue (between the two girls) has shown its head. I feel like I didn’t spend enough time holding Ellie today and Lizzie only wanted mommy to hold her by the end of the day. Sweet.

* My daughter Ellie would do well on “Sept 19”:http://www.talklikeapirate.com/. Some of the faces she makes… straight out of a Disney ride (the lack of teeth helps).

* When patting or rubbing a baby’s back to burp her, sound does not always come from the north end.

* Your wife will comment about how much you’ve talked about pooping on your blog. This, boys and girls, is my life. 🙂

* I don’t love Lizzie any less. But I do love Ellie just as much.

* “An empty diaper box and a few blankets makes a great little bed for a newborn.”:http://familyhutch.blogspot.com/2006/12/night-time.html

* Wrinkles on a baby are really, really cute.
