I’ve known Justin for many moons now.  I was in high school youth group with him. We’ve spent many a day watching baseball games, playing video games and enjoying finer music (he can be credited with my love for classic rock). Justin is an all around wonderful guy and loves the Lord and His people very much. Justin does nothing half-hearted.  He is currently a junior high youth pastor and is a darn good one.

I have also pulled many a prank with Justin… or at least been around to witness his involvement in them. Saran-Wrapping the pastor’s car, TP’ing a house (many times), forks in the lawn, ample use of aluminum foil, turning license plates upside down at a church retreat. Justin is a master prankster.

As such, when four girls recently pranked his office at church, he saw a teaching moment.  The girls did a fair job, but nowhere near Justin’s standards.  He needed to show them how one does a prank.  All the way, with gusto.

Would you like to see how Justin teaches?

If you look up “JH ministry” on YouTube, you will find three videos.  If you watch them in the following order, you will see a progression.  Number four is to come sometime in the future.  And yes, the parents were quite cooperative.  Some very encouraging even.

  1. Payback
  2. Maddies Room
  3. Jenny’s Room

So, what say you of Justin’s teaching methods?  Personally, I think they’re magnificent.

Tré, well said. Or not said. hmmm.

Laura, I think Jason’s car getting oreo’ed was a different year. The gang usually limited themselves to one quality prank per retreat… :-)p

I just saw the videos. Wow… that’s totally awesome. I hope Isaiah grows up to have a Jr High youth pastor like that! I remember Justin and it’s really cool to see him doing the youth group thing. Nice new blog.
