Boston goodness

August 28, 2007

Haven’t been blogging much because Steph’s mom has been in town… and that leads to busy days and not much time left over for the ol’ blogosphere.

But today was blog worthy… went into Boston for the day. Hit the Freedom Trail (most of it) and had an all around great time.  Also remembered a story of Greg’s about this one particular pastry shop… called Greg today from Hanover Street wanting the name of it.

Mike’s Pastries.

Remember that name.  Never forget it.  For should you come to Boston at some point in your life, you will want to, nay, you must, go there.  It is fantastic.  The gelato is tasty, the variety unbelievable, and the cannoli… wow.  Thanks for the tip Greg.  It was a good one.

p.s. You can even order a cannoli making kit so you can have ’em fresh in your home.

Happy Day. I’m so glad you guys got to visit Mike’s. I spent the whole afternoon thinking, “what kind did they get, did they like it? I hope they found it.” It warms my heart to know that you’ve know experienced such a great Italian tradition in Boston. When I come visit, Mike’s will be a non-negotiable.
