First day of orientation today. Lots of faculty introductions, lots of “here’s how this works here…”. All in all a good day, encouraging day. Especially how much the Student Life department really cares about the students. The director is an incredibly sincere woman and it’s very comforting to know a whole department at the school here is looking out for you.
It was a bit weird going through orientation when I’ve already been through two on campus classes. I definitely could tell I have gotten comfortable with campus. I saw a lot of “deer stuck in headlights” faces today. Probably exactly how I looked the first few classes of Greek I.
Met my advisers. Great guys. One goes to a church we’re considering. The other is just a gigantic kick in the pants. Think Brad Harper with a subtle accent. Even the tall, skinny and bald head part.
Got a big test tomorrow to test out of the OT and NT survey classes here. Basically the entrance/exit exam from MBC. Should be interesting. Just gotta get a grip on the Minor prophets before I go to bed. General themes, etc. They tend to blend together in my head… except for Jonah. That one sticks out. 🙂
