The Lord Giveth

February 13, 2008

So, God was very gracious: the tax man was very kind (we’re a big fan of the IRS in this house).  Besides slugging away a good bit into loans/savings, what should we do with the cash flow (real or way out there suggestions, I’ll take either 🙂 )?

We did splurge a little bit today, Steph got the girls some Curious George books, and then a pizza stone and a new cookbook for herself.  I got a new backpack that can hold the laptop.

Oh you will have to share how you like your new pizza stone. I got one for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I will never try to make a pizza on anything else again! I am looking forward to seeing what else I can make with it.

    X-box 360 + 1 extra contoller = $400
The Force Unleashed for the 360 = $50
Playing the force unleashed with your best friend who lives two floors below = priceless

Did my taxes today. It’s good to have one half of a family be a full-time student. I suppose we’d be “richer” if Leanne was a full-time employee rather than student, but her studenthood is helpful today.

Our plan ain’t that fun, but what it lacks in fun, it makes up for in helpfulness. Money to pay for fixin’ up the car that has been needing a fixin’, but that has been a bit hard to pay for after my long days standing in the unemployment line.
