Mom in law 4

July 29, 2008

It’s cancer.  They don’t know what kind… it doesn’t fit the typical mold.  They’re going to have to study the… tumor I guess is the right term… more to get a firm grasp on what, if anything, can be done.  Seems a second doctor came in after I got the initial phone call.  Second doc was more skilled in the art of bedside manner and more optimistic.  Confirmed to Dad in Law that they are pretty sure it’s cancer, but that final word would need to wait until the biopsy is finished.  But even with confirmation of cancer, there is still much that can be done to combat it.

Lord Jesus, make us more like you.  And take the blasted thing away.

We’re sending hugs and prayers. I wish there was something tangible we could do to help.

Can’t think of anything to say that won’t sound too small, just know we love you and will be there for whatever you need/want during this time.
